Vintage Brown's Beach Cloth Jacket Salt and Pepper Vest Wool Snap Altered 38-40. From what I have gathered regarding the brand and tag, I believe this is from the 30s and 40s. At some point the vest was tailored (altered), which is somewhat incredible in itself as it fits better in today's sizing, but also the alteration is good from the age and skills of past. Really fantastic condition with no stains, holes - very light signs of wear for the age of this garment.
Most impressed by the tailor that not only kept the original tag, but reattached after adding the extra panel on the back - see pictures for details. Please contact me with any questions. This is an iconic piece of garment history!
